Celebrated every year in early August in Lorient since 1971, the Interceltic Festival is one of Brittany’s biggest cultural events. Nearly 950,000 visitors gather there for 10 days of music, dance and festivities. Just 35 minutes from Camping Kerzerho, it is an experience not to be missed.
The Lorient Interceltic Festival celebrates the culture of the Celtic nations: Brittany, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Galicia and Asturias. Each year, one nation is honoured with a dedicated programme.
Created under the name “Fête des Cornemuses” by Polig Monjarret, the festival has grown to become the largest interceltic gathering in the world. More than 4,500 artists from all Celtic countries perform there every year.
Celtic music concerts, fest-noz, art exhibitions, conferences, dance workshops and street performances. The programme blends tradition and modernity.
The festival takes place during the first 10 days of August. Choose shuttle buses or carpooling whenever possible. Remember to book your campsite stay early: this period is in very high demand.
